Making Math and Science Connections

The Model Car Program uses the building of a 1/10 scale radio controlled car to engage the students while presenting academic and social skill building.

The curriculum was developed by SRP staff with credentialed teachers and has been tested and refined in the classroom over the last 10 years. It is aligned with state content standards in math, science, and language arts and integrates 23 of the 40 Search Institute's Developmental Assets.

Originally designed as an after-school program, its modular construction allows you to easily modify the program for regular day class, summer school, or summer camp presentation.
